This is a factory reconditioned pressure washer. Reconditioned generally means that the pressure washer has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the pressure washer back to like new condition. The unit arrived today in damaged packaging. (See my customer images for details) Shipping damage could be the fault of the shipper, but in this case that was not true. The pressure washer and all accessories were basically thrown into a cardboard box - no padding, stiffening, or restraint of any sort was included as part of the packaging. The pressure washer suffered at least a badly bent handle.
The water inlet connector was defective. The screen was torn and the connector washer displaced (again, see customer pictures). I can't imagine that it would seal at all, leading me to believe it was not tested. I don't believe this part was damaged in shipping as it was out of the way of the accessories and not near the edges of the box.
The unit was supposed to include 5 high pressure nozzles. None were included (i.e. the unit is worthless without them and the set costs about $45)
No assembly or user documentation was included. These are, however, available on line. But still, no manual?
I immediately called CPO and was quickly connected with a real customer support person. She was very nice and explained that they were just distributors and received the units already reconditioned and boxed from Karcher. She offered a refund or replacement, my choice. I chose the refund. When I asked how to return the damaged unit to CPO she advised me to "field destroy" the unit! Something about shipping gas engines..... who knows.
If you will check the other reviews for this product you will find a common thread to many of them citing poor packaging and shoddy reconditioning. But, some folks got a good unit and are very happy. It's up to you - roll the dice.
